General Manager Finance and Business Services

Darryl is currently acting in this position. The General Manager Business Development is responsible for the commercial activities of the port. This includes the development of new business opportunities and the management of relationships involving shipping lines, importers and exporters, and commercial property leases. He is also responsible for business develoment marketing activities.

Darryl will continue to be responsible for the Finance and Business Services division.

 

John van Pelt

Manager Shipping and Trade Development

John is responsible for identifying trade and trade-related growth opportunities to increase trade volumes and port revenue. He works with existing customers and identifies potential customers to secure and increase business through the port.

Clint Harvey
Clint Harvey

Manager Property Development

Clint is responsible for delivering property management services to all tenants on strategic port land. He also works with industry to develop property and facilities that will accelerate trade growth through the Port of Brisbane and enhance growth in the port community.

Clint has more than ten years’ experience in the property industry, and has broad expertise in the management of significant infrastructure assets and property, gained during his previous roles with Brisbane Airport Corporation and the then Melbourne Port Corporation.

 

Robert HancockRobert Hancock

Manager Business Strategies

Robert is responsible for researching business strategies for the Corporation to use in facilitating future trade needs. He is responsible for forecasting future trends in vessels, equipment and trade operations, as well as future trade capacity and infrastructure needs.

Robert has extensive experience in stevedoring, and container park and intermodal depot operations and management, having previously worked with P&O in various roles. He has an Engineering Degree from the University of New South Wales (Mining Engineering), as well as a Diploma of Stevedoring (Operations Management) from the Australian Maritime University.
