Introduction

Our primary role is to facilitate trade growth through the commercial management of an efficient and customer-focussed port.

We also:

• provide and maintain port infrastructure and facilities
• operate the Brisbane Multimodal Terminal (BMT) - the rail head for container movements into and out of the port
• lease and manage land for port-related purposes
• act as an assessment manager for assessing and approving developments on strategic port land
• maintain navigable access to the port for commercial shipping
• manage four boat harbours
• operate the Visitors Centre

We do not provide:

• stevedoring services (see Patrick or DP World)
• towage services (see Svitzer Australia Pty Ltd or Australian Maritime Services)
• vessel traffic services (see Maritime Services Queensland) and pilotage (see Brisbane Marine Pilots)
